Software/Drives chosen: 'Samsung M2020 series'. Type: "Windows printer via sspools", URL: Name and location, just some name and locationĬ. Through the advanced options I set up the following:Ī. Opened up system preferences > printersģ. On some internet post I read that changing the name that appears in the print-server of the NAS doesn't do much good, so I left it as is.ġ. When the printer is on, it shows on my NAS as 'Samsung_Elec_1'. My printer is a Samsung Series M2022, which is hooked up with the Zyxel NAS through a USB cable. I have a NAS: a Zyxel NSA325-v2, updated to the most recent firmware: V4.81(AALS.1), its IP-adress is 192.168.1.160, which I set to static. If I therefore posted this in the wrong forum, I am sorry. I'm unsure if this is due to the way I set it up in my mac or its because of my printserver. However I ended up with my print server not printing all of the times. Quite like it so far after switching from Windows. For three months now I'm working on a Macbook Pro M1.
